SHR laser hair removal

Is SHR Laser Hair Removal Permanent?

SHR laser hair removal can be permanent following a course of treatment customised to your needs and hair type. Since not all hair is in a growth phase simultaneously, it may be necessary to revisit certain treatment areas to remove hair permanently.

Once the hair has been completely removed from areas of the body, it will only grow back under infrequent circumstances such as a significant hormonal change.

How Many Treatments Are Needed for Laser Hair Removal?

The number of laser hair treatments you should schedule depends on the area that needs to be treated. In most cases, very significant results can be seen in 6 treatments. It may be necessary to have 12 + treatments at different times for complete and permanent removal.

How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

Laser hair removal uses laser light to remove hair follicles by targeting the melanin in the follicle. Melanin is the pigment that provides hair with its colour. The presence of melanin allows the laser to be precisely targeted, heating and damaging the hair follicle.

Individual hairs must be targeted one at a time. Not all hairs are actively growing at the same time, so clients should be treated throughout the whole hair growth cycle to ensure that all hairs have been removed.

Is it painful?

Customers appreciate the fast, pain-free & results. While most laser hair removal technology can feel like rubber bands snapping your skin, Soprano offers a comfortable and relaxing experience where customers barely notice their hair is being lasered away.

After care / post treatment

No sun exposure is the first step to protecting your skin. It is necessary to avoid direct sun or sun-bathing during the course of your treatment.

Any other hair removal methods such as waxing or plucking the hairs must be avoided as it may destroy the skin and hair follicles.

A hot water shower may burn the skin; it is advised to take cool showers after the treatment.

The topical soothing cream is recommended to apply on the skin and keep it hydrated.

Before starting off with the laser hair removal treatment one must limit plucking, waxing, and electrolysis for 4 weeks before starting the treatment.

Avoid sun exposure 4 weeks prior to the treatment  - No use of makeup/lotion/deodorant on the day of the appointment.
